Summer Fun
Our summer has been busy and super fun! The start of summer both Noah and I had birthdays. Brock started EMT school for summer school (He is still at Lipsomb in pre med). Bri & Ben are working at the movie theater. Nanny came for a visit and we went to the smoky mountains and stayed in a cabin...Chris (Bri's boyfriend) came too! Way too much fun...Brock and Dad saw a bear! Did lots of fishing and exploring. Dollywood was great...and we saw Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat...the girls and I are still singing along to the sound track. We've had swim lessons, violin & piano lessons, VBS, gymnastics, a variety of camps, the zoo and a trip with Mike and Amy and cousins Josh, Sarah & Nathan to Chattanooga to see the Aquarium. Here are some pictures of our summer fun...so far!
Gabriella turns 5 years old!
Oh my gosh my baby is 5! My sweet Gabriella. You are so excited about being 5 and you have decided on a Chucky Cheese Birthday Party! What a year...Bri graduates from High School, Noah will start Middle School and Gabriella goes to Kindergarten! Gabi has been an angel since the first time I held her. A perfect fit to our family. A special gift from God to our family and especially to me. Happy Birthday my sweet one.
Bri Graduates!
Congratulations to Bri Lutes....my special daughter graduates from High School! We are so proud of you. Can't believe it...time has flown by. Next adventure...college...Bri will go to Murray State College to study accounting. Bri has grown into a beautiful young woman...she has a caring, loving, sharing, helpful heart...I love you so much. You have been an awesome daughter in every way...I am sooooooo blessed to have you as a daughter Bri!
Brazil Mission Trip
Brock and I joined our church to partner with a ministry in the Amazon Jungle...Ray of Hope. Ray of Hope is a boat that takes missionaries, school supplies, food, and clothes deep into the jungle to the people there. These people are called "the forgotten people". What an awesome trip and it was great sharing this experience with Brock. I use to live and serve as a missionary nurse in this very part of Brazil. Brock and I have fell in love with these people and hope to go again very soon. They are good people who need a hope and a future. We met many Brazilian missionaries whom we love and will support in any way we can. Gloria, Nailza, Phillip, Rede, Milton!!!!
God has placed these people on my heart. From now on they are my people. I will pray for them, care for them, remember them, visit them. I have been asked to lead a team... maybe Christmas. Will you join me?? I need you! They need you! (this does not mean that Guatemala is not still on my heart...it is and I will continue to care for both these wonderful places...as well as in my own neighborhood, church & family)
"Miracles happen when somebody cares"
Mia turns 6 years old!!!!
Birthday season begins. First Mia turns 6. This is unbelieveable...seems like yesterday we were on our way to Guatemala to meet our sweet baby #5. What a joy she has brought to our lives...we are the most blessed family ever to have her! She wanted a Pony Party. So we had Kim's Ponies come to the house and give pony rides...it was great fun. Her favorite gift was her American Girl doll. Mia I love you so much!

Easter in Georgia
We spent a lovely Easter with Aunt Merle and Uncle Jim in Atlanta Georgia! I remember way back when the older 3 were very little we went to Aunt Merle's for Easter. It was just as fun I remembered and extra special having all six enjoying together!! Aunt Merle and Uncle Jim made it especially fun :) We all had a great time.
Aunt Merle, Bri and I spent one day shopping for Bri's prom dress and I'm happy to say we found the perfect one...finally!!
Cousin Clint was there too and it is always fun having him around...thanks for the whistles!
